Conservative Candidates to Seek ARA Endorsements Saturday

June 21, 2006

Being that this is an election season, the Arizona Republican Assembly (ARA) will address endorsements for State of Arizona Candidates for public office, Saturday, June 24, at its annual state convention. The 13th annual convention of the Arizona Republican Assembly will take place at the Sheraton Four Points Resort in Phoenix. Registration is from 8-9 a.m.

The Arizona Republican Assembly is an organization committed to Republican principles and is also known as the “Constitutional Republicans.” ARA is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-property rights organization. It is a state affiliate of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies.

ARA members will establish resolutions during the convention, as well.

Another popular feature of the annual ARA conventions is the speaker lineup.

ARA President Tony Mackelprang said, “We will have a group of exceptional guest speakers recognized for their experience and expertise on topics such as the state of our Republican Party, health care, taxation, education and illegal immigration. Are there

more critical topics where the future of our communities, state and nation are concerned?

Additionally, I have asked each speaker to offer recommendations on action we can take,

individually and collectively, to influence these issues for good.”

The guest speaker list includes:

  • Chad Kirkpatrick, “Taxation Explosion in Arizona,” 1 p.m.
  • Dr. Matthew Ladner, “Education in Arizona, A Cost Benefit Analysis,” 1:45 p.m.
  • Dr. Jane Orient, “Data Mining, Immunizations and Pharmaceuticals,” 2:45 p.m.
  • Michele DelaCrouce, Gary Thrasher and Dave Stoddard, “Illegal Immigration, A Multi-Faceted Crisis,” 3 p.m.

The Four Points Sheraton is located at 10220 N. Metro Parkway in Phoenix.

For more information on the ARA convention, call (602) 997-5900, or visit www.azassembly.org.
