Bringing the Conservative Message to Arizona

The Arizona Conservative fills a niche in the Grand Canyon State.

Existing mainstream media operate in a vacuum of humanistic and pantheistic worldviews. Those worldviews resonate with self-described progressives, but to many thousands of Arizonans those worldviews are foreign. Until now, no media outlet generating daily news and commentary has offered an alternative. That is TAC’s role: to provide the balance that until now has been missing from your daily news fare.

If you’ve read one daily newspaper in America, you’ve pretty much read them all. From coast to coast, almost without exception, the fix is on. Slant-left news is portrayed as fair and balanced. Even the most radical, leftist political candidates and office holders are labeled “moderate.” Anyone holding to traditional American beliefs is labeled “extremist.” This is an insult to Americans everywhere, and it is an insult to Arizonans, who deserve better.

Bernard Goldberg, the former CBS Television reporter and author of the book "Bias," asked for a media that reflects America. I asked people for a media that reflects Arizona -- and The Arizona Conservative is the result of that plea. James Glassman wrote in the Washington Post, "The people who report the stories are liberal Democrats. This is the shameful open secret of American journalism. That the press itself ... chooses to gloss over it is conclusive evidence of how pernicious the bias is."

Goldberg said that in a perfect world we would not need conservatives to balance the liberals, and "we should welcome the different perspective they bring to the job of reporting the news." Bernard, we're here.

And now, the Arizonans who support the U.S. Constitution deserve better than what they've been spoon-fed by the liberal media. Arizonans who support a culture of life deserve better. Arizonans who believe that good values are timeless and don’t change with the whims of new decades deserve better.

That’s where TAC comes in. Our mission is to bring the conservative message in news and commentary form to the people of Arizona. We aim to be to Arizona what World Net Daily is to the nation. TAC may be the first state-oriented service of its kind. We hope to see the idea spread across the nation so that conservatives can read news that is more fair and more in line with American traditions and ideals than what they are used to seeing. In election years, conservative candidates can do an end run around the liberal media -- which beats them up so badly -- and benefit from TAC’s fair and balanced campaign coverage.

The Arizona Conservative will succeed through the subscribers and advertisers of Arizona. We believe you value what we are doing and that you will support us. We all have an investment in the future of our state, which is increasingly under attack from those who don't share our values.
