Five Major Things to Fear from an Obama Presidency

October 19, 2008

Under the feared administration of a Barack Hussein Obama presidency, America would be turned in the direction of a radical, leftist nation beholden to socialist organizations favoring a culture of death. As well as a country displaying a hostility toward Christianity.

Communist, atheist, and humanistic organizations will never have had such a close friend in the White House if Obama wins election. The results of their influence on the nation’s executive branch will have dire consequences for decades to come. Some of the damage may never be overcome.

Following are five of the most serious threats of an Obama presidency:

Expansion of “hate” crime laws—The real target of so-called “hate” crimes legislation is the Christian church. Like their counterparts in Canada and Sweden, American pastors teaching on the Biblical view of homosexuality could be prosecuted, fined and imprisoned under the guise of “hate.” Crimes committed against politically correct groups—homosexuals—would be greater than crimes against unprotected groups. The truth is that criminal law protects all equally … and all victims of crime are the victims of contempt.

Passage of Freedom of Choice Act—Sen. Obama is a co-sponsor of this act which seeks to overturn all pro-life legislation in the United States. That includes bans on partial-birth abortion.  The FOCA would undo years of hard work and incremental gains by the pro-life community and turn America firmly in the direction of a culture of death. Pro-lifers would be subject to much harsher restrictions in their work.

This act would nullify any and all state and federal laws that “interfere” with access to abortion. The abortion industry is already heavily under-regulated, and this law would result in the maiming and death of many more women, from surgical abortions and those caused by RU-486.

Obama said that the Freedom of Choice Act is the first thing he would do as president, putting millions of unborn babies at risk. This proposition is utterly chilling because the pro-life movement would be stopped in its tracks for a minimum of four years.

Employment Non-Discrimination Act—Organizations would literally be forced to hire unqualified persons in order to suit leftist-imposed political correctness. For instance, a church could be punished by the federal government for not hiring an atheist applicant for a ministry position. A public relations firm would be punished for not hiring a transsexual. The burden to prove why misfits are not hired for open positions would fall upon employers.

Passage of Fairness Doctrine—Though the ultra-leftist media—New York Times, Washington Post, Arizona Republic, CBS, ABC, CNN, NBC, etc.—pretends to deliver unbiased news reporting, conservative opinion radio would be required to provide equal time to leftists. However, the Obama and the leftists running Congress should be careful what they wish for. Conservative talk radio hosts Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Mike Gallagher and others are pretty good at carving up leftists and their hollow arguments on their respective programs.

Defunding of abstinence education—Millions of American children will be subjected to pregnancy, venereal disease, and abortion (with its potential for cancer and lifetime debilitating health effects). If Obama and his leftist allies deny federal funding for abstinence education. Since its arrival in the nation’s schools in the early 1990s, abstinence education has resulted in a major decrease in teen pregnancy and disease. These gains will be lost in an Obama presidency.

It goes without saying that there would be a long list of damages done to America by a single Obama presidential term, such as leftist judicial appointments and economic havoc. Obama would turn the nation into one completely unrecognizable to the founding fathers.

The best hopes for Americans in the next four years are two-fold: 1) that legal defense organizations could successfully appeal to the judicial system that new leftist legislation is unconstitutional; and 2) that the conservative movement would rise up in revolt and fire Obama in 2012.
