BOB HUGERI Temptations Last a Moment, Consequences Can Last a LifetimeFebruary 9, 2006 - Temptations last a moment, consequences can last a lifetime. - Thinking people look ahead. - Be slow to speak and quick to listen. - If you love God and love people your life will count. - Greatness is serving others. - If you don’t like what you have, quit what you’re doing. - You get what you got when you do what you did. - We will all fall short, that is why God sent Christ. - The One upstairs grows the flowers and vegetables. I just help out where I can. - God prepares us throughout our lives for what He wants us to do. - We struggle with God’s timing because it does not fit ours. - God is slow to anger with us. He teaches and shapes us with events in our lives. - Build others up with words, don’t discourage them. - Show others genuine kindness. - Be slow to get mad. - If you do not have peace with God, you will not have peace in any other part of your life. - True peace only comes with Jesus. - When our leaders push the people, the people will push back. - Don’t be surprised if people mock you for your belief in Jesus Christ. - Critics are threatened by the possibilities of success. - What can we accomplish if motivated to please God? - God gave us a passion for something because He wants us to take care of it and do it. - Criticism is some people’s only gift. - The goal of Satan is not wickedness, but indifference. - Your life is the sum total of your decisions. If you don’t like what you have, stop making those decisions. - Sow the right things, and you will reap the good things. - Any sex outside marriage is a sexual sin. - All five major religions teach that homosexuality is wrong. - Hatred of others should never be tolerated. - If homosexuality were genetic it would eventually wipe itself out. - The compassion of Christ is caring enough to enter into a person’s pain. - Jesus commanded us to reach the world for Him. - “Forgiven” people go to Heaven, not “good” people. - You are not a failure until you give up on yourself. - Thoroughbreds run their races without looking at the other horses. - Live up to your expectations, your children will. - Consistent character is the key to a child’s stability. - Live life as if Christ were coming back today.
