Miscellaneous Thoughts

July 20, 2005

Here are some miscellaneous, hopefully some inspirational thoughts I have picked up over time that I find rather interesting.

Optimists live 19 percent longer than pessimists, and they are more socially adept, healthier, and have more meaning in their lives.

Submitting yourself to God gives you real freedom and success.

At 18 days, an unborn baby has a heartbeat.

Physical things in this world are temporary.

81 percent of Americans have some sort of belief in an after-life of some sort.

God never gives up on anybody.

At 21 days, an unborn baby has a nervous system.

Remember, God is always with us even in our trials.

Our sinful nature is constantly trying to control us.

You must be willing not to give up when the going gets tough.

There are all sorts of unseen forces at work to help us make our decisions, and all types of influences on us.

There are no more powerless people in the world than the unborn.

There are around 17,000 people groups in the world. Over 6,000 of them have been unreached about the Word of Jesus Christ.

God is more concerned with our character than our comfort.

God blesses us financially so we can bless others.

At 26 days, an unborn baby has arms.

The more time we spend in God’s Word, the easier it is for us to know His will for us.

Real compassion considers others, not the self, as well as the worth, not the cost, and the possibilities, not the obstacles.

If you are not at peace with yourself, you cannot be at peace with others.

There is no biblical distinction between a child after being born and a child that is in the womb.

54 percent of Americans believe that you will go to Heaven if your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds.

If you don’t know where you’re going, it’s not safe to die.

Following Jesus is a counter-cultural decision.

At 31 days, an unborn baby has eyes.

There will be times of trouble for following Jesus.

The opposite of Heaven is at the conclusion of a Christ-less life.

Six in 10 Americans don’t believe in Satan.

All chromosomes are complete at conception.

Satan’s best ruse is to convince us he doesn’t exist.

Satan will torment us and tempt us when we are doing God’s work.

The decisions we make have eternal consequences.

We should not believe everything we are told.

At the same time, we should not believe nothing that we are told.

If you are not at peace with God, you cannot be at peace with yourself.

24 percent of Americans have no idea what is going to happen to them after they die.

Peace rules the day when Christ rules the mind.

Good people don’t go to heaven, forgiven people do.

At 34 days, an unborn baby has feet.

When fishing, 100 percent of the casts that are not made do not catch fish.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent on the things that matter.” –MLK

At 40 days, an unborn baby has brain waves.

God hates the shedding of innocent blood.

The pro-abortion movement has admitted that it has “unashamedly lied” to get their way in the courts and to shape public opinion.

Children are a gift from God.

We will be held accountable for our actions.

Lastly, if our love for Jesus Christ is genuine, we must share is with others. If it makes us uncomfortable sharing our faith with others, our genuine love for Jesus will help us through it. Therefore, if we truly have a genuine love for Jesus we will share it, if we won’t, we probably don’t have it.
